Welcome to Moscow in the winter. Thought I'd let you see how much snow we can get overnight. This snowstorm happened the night before the kids were to go back to school from Christmas break. Yep, they got an extra day off of school for a snow day. Good times!!!

This picture is our driveway. Needless to say, out came the snow-blower so that Jim could back out of the garage and go to work. (Jim's the little orange spec by the trees. That's still part of the driveway. Now you know why we have a snow-blower, but should really have a snow-plow).
Below are more pictures of what we've been getting every morning this passed week or so. The skies have been very clear during the day and at night, but by morning, the fog has settled in over the town and lifts about 10 or 11 a.m. In the meantime, we get to enjoy the beauty of snow-crystals that form on the trees and everything else around town. Very pretty, but very cold, too.
Driving into our cul-de-sac, this is what our neighbor's house looked like yesterday. The snow-crystals make the trees so pretty. The muted tones of the picture come from the fog. It's crazy to think that all of those trees will be bare before the sun goes down.
Jim snapped this photo Sunday afternoon. This is one of our trees in our backyard.
This is to show you some up-close shots of the snow-crystals that form on the trees (and everything else....see below) every night. The sun then "melts" them away enough to fall off the trees and the next morning they look like this all over again.
